Ida Moreno, EDC training and technical assistance (TTA) associate, has dedicated over 24 years to the field of early childhood education, first in her home country of Venezuela and now in the United States. She brings extensive expertise in the design and facilitation of professional development for early childhood teachers and family childcare providers. She draws on her experience as a former classroom teacher, instructional design analyst, and program assessment specialist.
As a member of EDC’s Rhode Island Center for Early Learning Professional team, Moreno provides bilingual TTA to early childhood programs, professional development, and targeted TA to support Rhode Island family childcare providers and teachers in using continuous quality improvement to enhance children’s early learning. She also coaches classroom teachers in promoting positive interactions, instruction, and assessment practices.
Before joining EDC, Moreno was a bilingual program assessment specialist at Brightstars and was reliable on the ECERS-3, ITERS-3, FCERS-3, and SACCERS- U Environment Rating Scales.
Moreno holds a BA in Early Childhood Education from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas – Venezuela. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
