Schools and teachers who have demonstrated success in preparing youth in Rwanda for meaningful work opportunities will be publicly recognized at a national awards ceremony in Kigali, Rwanda on May 6. The ceremony will mark recent successes of the Akazi Kanoze 2 (AK2) project, funded by the MasterCard Foundation through the Partnership to Strengthen Innovation and Practice in Secondary Education. AK2 builds on previous efforts to assist Rwandan schools, government offices, employers and communities to institutionalize work readiness programming within Rwanda’s secondary education system. More than 300 school managers, teachers, and public and private sector partners will attend the ceremony. Keynote speakers include government leaders and EDC President and CEO David Offensend.
