EDC has been selected by the Nellie Mae Education Foundation as a recommended partner and preferred provider of equity-focused consulting services for public school districts throughout New England.
In a competitive process, EDC was named by the Foundation, the largest philanthropy in New England dedicated exclusively to education, as highly qualified to help schools work toward educational equity. EDC was selected based on its extensive experience and successful approach to working with communities, districts, and schools in integrating equity efforts; its understanding of student-centered learning approaches; its sustained professional support for diverse groups; and its tools and resources for promoting equity in the classroom. The Foundation also recognized EDC for its extensive experience working in districts with high concentrations of poverty, students of color, and English language learners.
“EDC takes a holistic, human-centered approach to helping our partners create transformational change,” said EDC’s Eliza Fabillar. “Our detailed framework helps education leaders take a deep look at existing inequities and understand the complex systems affecting student performance. It is extremely effective in addressing the most pressing needs of organizations in achieving equity for all students.”
